I'm Back!!!!

Hello, world!
I have missed this space!!
So glad to be back.
You see,after Google plus shut down last April, I couldn't access my blog because I connected it to Google plus.
However, a few days ago, I was pleasantly surprised to be able to access it. Yay!!

So, what have I been up to?

 Well, before the Covid-19 pandemic, I started a new job last summer, went back to school last fall, traveled to Puerto Rico for the first time, and "checked off" sending one of our children to Nigeria to school for one term. ..AND..Looking forward to life after the pandemic...

I hope you are all well and safe.

It is an understatement to say that it has been a challenging few months globally because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

But you know what? We will get through this together...stronger. * hugs *

When God Met Eve.

Have you ever wondered the conversation God had with Eve in the garden of Eden soon after she was created?
There must have been a conversation from when she drew her first breath to when she was presented to Adam,before Adam named her Eve ..Then The Lord God made the woman from the rib of Adam, and brought her to Adam (Genesis 2:22).

Now let us imagine what happened in the Garden of Eden Circa 2000 BC.

Eve, just freshly made, opens her eyes, draws her first breath, looks at her body and then looks at  her immediate surroundings. It was dawn, the sun was just coming out and the first person she sees is God...wow!
God had been watching her,  appreciating His wonderful creation.

The conversation that ensued between God and Eve might be something like this:

Eve: Hello * looking surprised and in awe*
God:  Good morning. My name is God.
          I will take you to meet Adam, if you don't mind.
Eve: Who is Adam, sir?
God: Adam is my creation made out of the dust of the earth.
          I put him in charge of my other creations.
          I did not cause rain to fall on earth until Adam was created.
Eve: Wow! Adam must be very important to you.
God: Yes, he is and so are you, Eve.
         You are going help Adam with his assignment.
         However, I have given you the ability to think and
         make decisions for yourself like Adam.
         You have the power to influence Adam's choices,
          But, chose to use this power wisely.
       
         I want you to know that you are beautiful. 
         I have endowed you with grace and poise.
       

If you are reading this article, those words in italics are for you. This is to celebrate our mothers, sisters, wives, friends and all womanhood.

                                         An Ode To Me

..I remember you from way back then,... when you were so shy, so unsure of almost anything…
You are still self-conscious …but you have come a mighty long way, girl!….and have a long way to go, still..
In some life circumstances, you also can say “been there done that, bought the T-shirt…..I salute you for all the roles you are playing,yet to play,and have played: A mother, A wife, A sister,A daughter,A student ,An employee,A neighbor,A blogger…A friend….
I just want to remind you to keep these few words from your friend Mayor Aderounmu of blessed memory,in mind:
Why don’t you try to always put your weight behind everything you want and believe in?..Do you know that even if you make mistakes in life,God is able to work through the mistakes and bring you to that expected end?…Just relax in God’s hands-It is not by struggle for He has promised to bear you on eagle’s wings.
It’s time to STEP UP and STEP OUT!…..You know all those things you have been thinking and dreaming about doing…It’s time to get started…It’s a new year, a new day,a new decade.....after all,…Life just began….

Pep Talk For The New Month.

..The "Me" time…..

Today (May 22nd 2014) is the 1st day and 1st time I'm blogging…yay!!….You see,I have always wanted to blog…but never gotten around to doing it, because (a) Been busy with taking care of the family (still am…..that's a lifetime "hobby"..lol) (b)I'm lazy (…shhh!!….top secret…lol!) ( c) I'm worried that I might not follow through with it….(Oh well, I have come to realize that " Nothing ventured,Nothing gained)….So here's to "overcoming phobias' :). ..Hope we can make this "journey" memorable and fun…..
I enjoy reading blogs mostly on Entertainment, Inspiration, Health, Motherhood, Fashion, News, etc…They are my "guilty pleasures", they have become essentially part of my "ME TIME"…:)

Just around the turn of the year,I decided to go all out with "taking care of myself"…..did a little bit of research and came up with some findings like (a) Good, restful sleep is almost as important as the air we breath (b) It is really true that we are what we eat  ( c) A positive attitude is really the prerequisite for "beauty from within".

Here are somethings I consider and considering as  part of a "Me time" routine; (1) Just doing and thinking "nothing"
(2) Sleeping in on a Saturday morning
(3) Spa, spa, spa
(4) Reading a good book
(5) Window shopping
(6) Hanging out with the girls!….woot, woot!
(7)….What's yours?…please,share…..:)
